Vicente Arraez Professor | Researcher | Guide

Dr. Vicente Arraez is a seasoned intensive care specialist with over three decades of experience in a University Hospital ICU and more than 15 years as a transplant coordinator. He is the founder, trustee, and president of the Metta-Hospice Foundation, an organization dedicated to training individuals in conscious end-of-life care and supporting those accompanying the dying.

An author, speaker, and university professor, Vicente is co-author of the book Death and Dying and has organized the International Conference on Death and Dying for 15 years. He views death not as an end, but as a transition between dimensions—beyond what the senses perceive.

His current research focuses on near-death experiences, including a study of over 600 cases of patients who returned after cardiac arrest. He and his team are exploring how these profound experiences shift lives and expand our understanding of consciousness. His ICU team also collaborates internationally on studies exploring awareness in the dying process.

Vicente brings a unique blend of medical expertise, spiritual insight, and compassionate vision to his work, bridging science and soul in service of a more conscious approach to death and dying.
