Suchitra Shenoy is a non-fiction writer and social impact strategist committed to creating market-based solutions to poverty. Raised on stories blending science with moral imagination—and shaped by firsthand experiences in Indian villages—Suchitra was drawn early on to work in the social sector. Her career has focused on innovative approaches to healthcare, education, and financial inclusion for underserved communities.
As a founding member of the Inclusive Markets team at the international consulting firm Monitor Group, Suchitra explored how business models can effectively serve the poor both as customers and producers. She continues to contribute to this space through writing and advising, most recently co-authoring a piece in Stanford Social Innovation Review on impact investing and open holding companies.
Suchitra serves on the advisory board of Youth 4 Jobs Foundation, an organization that trains underprivileged youth for meaningful employment. She holds degrees from Brandeis University and the London School of Economics.
Her published books include Mindful Parenting (2016) and Infinite Vision (2011), co-authored with Pavithra K. Mehta, which chronicles the inspiring story of the Aravind eye-care system. Passionate about words, music, and photography, Suchitra enjoys sharing ideas that spark imagination and drive change.
