Shaykh Burhanuddin Herrmann is a contemporary mystic rooted in the ancient Naqshbandi Sufi tradition—one of the oldest and most profound paths of inner wisdom. Called to the path from a young age, he underwent rigorous dervish training, involving daily spiritual discipline, solitude retreats, and life-long mentorship under his guide, the revered Grand Master Shaykh Nazim al Haqqani.
For over thirty-five years, Shaykh Burhanuddin journeyed beside his master, transmitting the Sufi way of love, presence, and divine remembrance across the globe. He was trained to see the beauty in all forms, to live with gratitude and joy, and to serve as a mirror helping others remember their true essence and purpose.
He developed the Uwaysi System, a universal and accessible method of self-realization designed to awaken the heart and bring spiritual presence into everyday life—beyond dogma or belief. With over three decades of global teaching, Shaykh Burhanuddin continues to guide seekers toward inner peace, joy, and soulful living.
He is the author of The Camel on the Roof, The Metropolitan Dervish, and Sufism, and the founder of the Dervish Orchestra, blending spiritual teaching with music and performance to touch hearts across cultures.
