BIO Ruben Monroe Saufkie

Ruben Monroe Saufkie Sr. is a member of the Water Clan of the Hopi People of Arizona, USA. As a cultural and spiritual messenger of H2OPI, he is devoted to sharing traditional Hopi teachings that promote balance, harmony, unity, and peace. His life’s mission is deeply rooted in personal transformation—having recovered from alcoholism over 16 years ago, he uses his experience to help others on their journey toward healing and self-empowerment.

Through storytelling, ceremony, and direct outreach, Ruben encourages individuals and communities to embrace compassion and forgiveness as tools for awakening the heart. He believes that true peace begins within and extends outward, influencing relationships, cultures, and ultimately the world.

Guided by the wisdom of his ancestors and the Creator’s law—“take care of the land and it will take care of you”—Ruben reminds us of our sacred connection to Mother Earth.
