Rob de Laet
Visionary | Activist | Ambassador
Rob de Laet is a principal member of the EcoRestoration Alliance and a fellow of the Global Evergreening Alliance, dedicated to reversing climate collapse through rapid and large-scale ecological action. Alongside climate scientist Peter Bunyard and others, he co-leads the “Cooling Climate Chaos” initiative, grounded in the Gaia hypothesis, aiming to restore the Earth’s vital water cycles and regenerate the biosphere.
Rob’s work focuses on addressing three urgent ecological tipping points: the dieback of the Amazon Rainforest, the collapse of oceanic biology, and the melting of Arctic sea ice. He believes that these threats can still be averted if humanity acts quickly and at scale to restore ecological balance.
Dutch-born and a lifelong world traveller, Rob is a serial entrepreneur who built an international eco-tourism company spanning seventeen countries. Today, he combines his background in business, philosophy, and activism to foster bioregional solutions. He is deeply engaged in rewilding efforts in the Brazilian rainforest and is committed to strengthening the biotic pump of the Amazon—a critical force for global climate stability.
As a speaker, Rob brings passion, systems thinking, and urgent clarity to the climate conversation, inspiring action through regeneration, cooperation, and planetary stewardship.
