Former Deputy Minister of Urban Development and Land in Afghanistan, Mr. Sayed Nasim Khaliq holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Kabul Polytechnic University and a Master’s degree in Urban Management and Planning from the University of Florence, Italy, besides several leadership positions at national and international levels.
In Afghanistan, Mr. Sayed Nasim Khaliq had the honor of serving as Deputy Minister of Urban Development and Land, successfully spearheading major initiatives in urban development, policy reform, and land management digitalization.
Following the fall of the Afghan Republic and rising security threats, he was forced to leave Afghanistan and since January 2022, he serves as a Program Director and Portfolio Manager in engineering companies in Italy, offering his expertise in project management, market analysis, and modern control systems across Europe.
