AwakeningArts Founder
Juliette McConachy Educator | Therapist | Guide

Juliette McConachy is a somatic movement educator, therapist (ISMETA-registered), and founder of Awakening Arts – School of Yoga and Ecosomatics, where she guides trainings and retreats devoted to embodied healing, wilderness connection, and collective transformation. Born in Whakatu, Aotearoa, and shaped by the sacred landscapes of both New Zealand and Australia, her lineage traces back to Scotland, Ireland, and England. Juliette honours her mixed ancestry and the responsibility to heal inherited systems of disconnection and oppression.

With over a decade of experience, she draws from a rich tapestry of practices: zenthai shiatsu, yoga (Iyengar, hatha, embodied flow, trauma-informed), somatic therapy, DBT, birth work, women’s sexual health, ecosomatics, mytho-somatics, and dance movement therapy. Her teaching is alive with poetry, reverence, and the shimmering intelligence of the body in relationship with land and community.

Juliette’s work invites a holy remaking—a return to animacy and connection through body, breath, and story. She believes in practices that truly work: that feed the hungry, soften hurt, and restore the heart to its own sacred rhythm. When she’s not teaching, she can be found hunting in the wild, walking rivers, or simply listening to moss, stone, and songbirds.
