Jenwah began her artistic journey in Sausalito, California, when the first silk dyes arrived from France over 30 years ago. With only the primary colors and an 8-page instructional booklet, she soon traveled to Argentina to film the Misa Criolla. Settling in the mountains of Córdoba in a stone villa, she painted daily in the winter garden using an old silk parachute from Buenos Aires. This became the foundation of her unique silk artwork.
Jenwah opened her first studio/gallery on the oceanfront in Paia, Maui, where her flowing pareos and silk wall pieces became well-loved. Later, she returned to the mainland U.S. for the New Millennium and earned a Master’s Degree from Naropa University with Matthew Fox. Her thesis, The Consummate Artist, explored the innate creativity within each person and included a community ritual project based on “The Caravan of the Beloved,” inspired by Rumi.
Today, Jenwah is a visionary silk artist known for creating vibrant, spiritually inspired wall hangings, banners, scarves, and custom fabrics. Each piece is hand-painted and often infused with themes of creation, nature, and inner awakening. Her work continues to express a life lived through art, presence, and sacred storytelling on silk.
