Appolinaire Oussou Lio, known as Prince DJAKA Atawévi, is a geographer-naturalist and a passionate advocate for biodiversity, indigenous wisdom, and ecological governance in Africa. He is the President of GRABE-BENIN, an NGO dedicated to environmental protection and community empowerment, and Secretary General of the Municipality of Avrankou, a position he has held since 2012.

With a diverse background as a former biology teacher, agrienvironmentalist, and expert in municipal planning, Prince DJAKA is internationally recognized for his work in land jurisprudence, environmental law, indigenous knowledge systems, and local governance. He serves as Vice-President of the African Biodiversity Network, member of the IUCN, and part of the Global Alliance of Earth Guardians, among other regional green networks.

As a consultant, trainer, and speaker, he works across West Africa in environmental policy, biodiversity conservation, eco-tourism development, and sustainable leadership. His commitment bridges modern science and ancestral wisdom, with a focus on restoring harmony between nature and communities.
