Dr. Mária Sági is a Hungarian psychologist, researcher, and author with an interdisciplinary career spanning psychology, sociology, creativity studies, health, and consciousness research. She earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and, following several years of research, received the prestigious C.Sc. degree from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She has served as Research Associate and Scientific Secretary at the Academy’s Institute for Culture and Sociological Research Institute.
A founding member of the Club of Budapest since 1993, Dr. Sági currently serves as its Science Director. She is the author or co-author of twelve books and more than 150 articles published in multiple languages, covering topics ranging from social and personality psychology to the psychology of art, music, and information medicine. Her pioneering research explored the relationship between music, creativity, and artistic expression, resulting in several influential publications.
Dr. Sági has led and contributed to major international research initiatives, including projects for the United Nations University and the International Sociological Association. A close collaborator of philosopher and systems theorist Ervin Laszlo, she has contributed to the development of the Akashic field theory and broader discussions on emerging scientific paradigms. Her work in macrobiotics, holistic health, and information medicine has also earned international recognition, making her a respected voice in both scientific and integrative approaches to human wellbeing.
