BIO Berry Behr

Rev. Berry Behr is a South African interfaith and interspiritual minister, environmental advocate, and community leader dedicated to fostering dialogue, inclusion, and social harmony. Ordained in 2019 by One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York, she has become an internationally respected voice in the fields of interfaith cooperation and environmental justice.

Berry serves as Chairperson of the Cape Town Interfaith Initiative, where she coordinates multifaith and multicultural programs that promote mutual understanding, compassion, and respect among people of diverse religious, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. She is deeply committed to building inclusive communities and creating opportunities for collaboration across differences.

As Faith Leader Liaison for the Southern African Faith Communities Environment Institute (SAFCEI), Berry works closely with religious leaders to advance environmental awareness and action. Her commitment to ecological stewardship has also led her to participate in major international initiatives, including GreenFaith International, where she has led opening and closing prayers for global gatherings.

Through her personal ministry, The Blessing Garden, and her involvement with Emissaries of Divine Light in South Africa, Berry offers spiritual guidance and support. She has also contributed to nature conservation efforts, including the stewardship of a white lion sanctuary. Currently based at Riverdell Spiritual Centre as an interfaith ambassador, she continues to inspire peace, understanding, and unity.
