Born in Rome, Giulia Bigioni is an accomplished harpist known for her versatility and expressive artistry. She graduated with top honors from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome and continued her advanced training at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, studying with leading harpists from Teatro alla Scala and Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. She has performed under renowned conductors such as Antonio Pappano, Nicola Piovani, and Daniel Smith, appearing with prestigious ensembles including the Youth Orchestra of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana, and the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano.
Her performances span major venues from Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona to Konzerthaus in Berlin. In 2021, she was a finalist in the Premio Nazionale delle Arti and has since been invited to perform in high-profile solo and chamber music settings, including at the Accademia Chigiana and the Accademia Filarmonica Romana. Passionate about contemporary repertoire, she actively collaborates with composers and ensembles to premiere new works.
