Barbara Savage is a seasoned nonprofit leader, activist, and educator with over 25 years of experience advancing indigenous cultural preservation. As the founder and president of the Tribal Trust Foundation, she has dedicated her life to sharing indigenous wisdom and supporting sustainable cultural projects around the world. Her work is rooted in deep respect for indigenous knowledge systems and a commitment to ensuring their survival in the face of modern threats.
Barbara holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Antioch University Santa Barbara and brings strong financial and leadership skills to her mission-driven work. She has personally witnessed the struggles of indigenous communities on nearly every continent and has collaborated directly with local leaders to identify and support impactful cultural preservation initiatives.
An award-winning documentary filmmaker, Barbara has risked her life in politically volatile regions to document and amplify the voices of threatened indigenous peoples. Her films have brought critical awareness to global audiences and inspired action for indigenous rights. Recognized as a thought leader in sustainability and cultural advocacy, Barbara speaks widely about the urgent need to protect ancestral knowledge and promote cross-cultural understanding.
